During the Mother’s Day month of May, cucumbers become the symbol of a relaxing day at TallGrass Aveda Spa and Salon in Evergreen, Colorado, when the veggies become props for a Mother’s Day photo op.

Mothers and daughters who visit the spa on any Monday through Friday in May, purchasing a minimum of $150 in services for each on that day, are treated to a commemorative photo of themselves relaxing in their spa robes – with or without cucumbers on their eyes.

Mom and her daughter are treated to a complimentary lunch and they can remember their leisurely spa day with copies of the “cucumber” photo that are emailed to each of them. Mom receives a gift of a silvertone picture frame with a “Happy Mother’s Day 2009” message to safe keep her photo and recall the special day shared with her daughter.

“At TallGrass, we recognize that these are busy, hectic times and opportunities are precious for mothers and daughters to be together in a relaxed setting,” says owner Gail Ridings. “We want to help them celebrate the Mother’s Day holiday in a fun, meaningful way.”

Mothers and daughters are invited to select from a full service menu of luxurious spa treatments including facials, massages, manicures, pedicures, body treatments and hair care services. They are invited to shop in the boutique and enjoy quiet time together in the Great Room.
