Change

MR Rouse

Seasons change, times change, people change, situations change. Now, it is time for a change for me! Not a really big one, in my mind, but still an important one. For the last 14 years, I have dedicated my time at TallGrass to setting up, organizing, and managing the Boutique. I have also been the Retail Buyer. This has all been a part time job for me as I have attempted to juggle my life between the Boutique, my family and friends, and my true creative passion – my sculpture.

As if that weren't enough to keep me from ever being bored, in the last four years, I have discovered that I've been blessed with another gift, and have studied to become a Practitioner in Angel, Theta, and Reiki energy healing. My new passion for the healing arts and trying to find the time to devote to all the things I love doing has left me exhausted. Seems I'm not Super Woman, especially as the years pass by!

So, from now on, I will no longer be the Manager of our TallGrass Boutique. Melanie Nuchols, whom many of you know as a fabulous artist and active member of our mountain community, is now our new Retail Manager! I will continue as the Retail Buyer, and am very excited to be able to focus on that aspect of my previous position.

The second part of my change is a physical move. My husband and I have a home in St. George, Utah and have decided to set a goal of spending half of each month this winter season  there! We are both thrilled to be in a more moderate climate and to begin to spend our time focusing on the things we enjoy in life. For me, I will be working much more on my sculpture and my healing arts practice - in both locations!

Of course 'change' is an ongoing theme in the TallGrass Spa Boutique as well. I am always on the lookout for what's new in the fashion world and will continue to do my best to have new, fun, and unique items every time you visit our Spa. Be sure to include a stop in our Boutique as you search for those special items for yourself and others on your Holiday shopping list.

Have a blessed and Happy Thanksgiving! -- Marcia Robinson Rouse

Why is it that 99% of the time my worrying is worse than the actual event I was concerned about?

As I've aged, I have learned not only to appreciate quiet but to seek it out.

As you know, “celebration” is a central theme at TallGrass.

In my humble opinion, gratitude is one of the most powerful, accessible keys to happiness.

I don’t know about you, but lately I don’t like listening to the news or even checking Facebook.

I was a shy, awkward, only child. So, my best friends were always animals.

Fall is nearly upon us -- even if we did't have much of a summer!

Greetings from the TallGrass Boutique where we are gearing up for National Flip Flop Day on June 20. Didn’t know there was such a day, did you? Well, we were clueless, too, until our favorite flip flop vendor, Oka-B, announced this day set aside to “free your feet.”
