Message from Gail Sharp
October 2026

I just got back from a riverboat vacation in the south of France.
I feel so ritzy writing this! How did I ever get so lucky to visit gorgeous places in our country and around the world, too? My friends and I kept saying "Can you believe we are here?" I am so grateful for the entire wonderful experience. And, equally grateful to come back to my beloved ranch, animals, friends, and business. Truly, there is no place like home. I did pick up a virus on the way back and, along with jet lag, it really was awful for a couple of days. Nothing like being sick to
remind me how grateful I am not to feel this way every day and remind me that others often experience this level of misery and pain.
I'm grateful, too, for the fall colors and cool temps that greeted me on my return. Though I always appreciate every season, this past summer was a bit too hot. I will remember it more fondly when we have minus 10-degree days in winter.
Focusing on gratitude even during hard times is so incredibly helpful. It's not easy sometimes, but I've built a habit that is pretty strong. I can say I'm grateful to be grateful!
Speaking of gratitude, I'm sure you, like me, appreciate our veterans who have given so much to protect and serve. This month, we are beginning our fifth year of collecting toiletries to fill string backpacks for homeless vets all over Colorado. With your help, we've been honored to pack more than 400 backpacks each year and the Bill Daniel's Veterans Service Center is grateful for our support. Details are below. You are welcome to join us by donating items and help us sort items at 5:00 p.m. on
November 5 or pack them at 8:30 a.m. on November 6. Both activities happen at The Wild Game Experience in Evergreen. If you need more information, please call us or email me.
I'm grateful for YOU!
