July 2020

Gail Sharp with goats Life will never be the same again.

Yep, we are experiencing one of the most profound crises in our lifetimes. And, no, we won't just snap back to where we were before this year began.

But, while we are witnessing incredibly disturbing upheavals in the status quo, we are also seeing positive, important changes in our culture. I realize that when I start talking about focusing on the good that surrounds us, I sound like a broken record. Many of you will yawn and click away from reading this. Before you go, though, please think about making a concerted effort to live in the now and appreciate every tiny piece of joy and goodness that's around you.

A child's laughter. A walk in the woods. A glass of cool water on a warm day. A call from a friend or family member. There IS good happening, positive changes are working, and progress is being made. We will come to the other side of this insane time of our lives and, I believe, we will be so much better for it.

So, please come share your joy with us at TallGrass. We need you more than ever and we believe that you need us, too. On your way up the road to TallGrass, keep your eyes out for one more piece of joy and goodness – the herd of mother elk and their adorable babies playing at the lake. I guarantee nature's beauty will lift you; and then, when you get here, we will carry you even further along the joy road!

P.S. Goat Update: Welcome to newborns Coco and Eddie, girl and boy, pictured above.

TallGrass Summer Fundraiser for EAPL

doodle-a-thon

We're disappointed to cancel our annual Dog Wash fundraiser for EAPL. But, wait! – we have Plan B – a Doggie Doodle-a-thon!

We're putting our doodling talents to work by making fun drawings of your pets. Be they dogs, cats, hamsters, ponies or whatever, your pets' images will be captured by our clever amateur artists for fun and philanthropy. A $15 per pet fee, submitted along with each pet's photo, benefits Evergreen Animal Protective League.

There's no limit to the number of pets you a can submit. And, if you add another $15, we'll send you a fun and funky dog collar or leash made from re-cycled bike tires (but hurry, quantities are limited), or if you request, the collar or leash can be donated to EAPL.

Enter by July 31, by emailing your photos and a credit card number for the entry fees to GuestRelations@TallGrassSpa.com

Thanks for helping to provide better lives for thousands of dogs, cats, and other pets.
