Message from Gail Sharp, TallGrass Owner
April 2019... The change of season reminds me of the ebb and flow of life. Nothing stays the same. Things we judge as good and things we think are bad can morph into just the opposite.
While my mother's death in 1995 was the absolute worst time I'd ever experienced, her passing inspired my decision to change my life by giving up an unrewarding corporate career in Chicago and following my dream to start a day spa in Colorado. A very good thing, indeed.
Spring traditionally brings thoughts of new life, trees budding, flowers sprouting, babies born. But, like any season, it can also bring sorrow, challenge, even loss. The wife of one of my dearest friends just had a baby. Another dear friend's husband is entering his last phase of life.
We will never enjoy the hard times, nor hope for them; and we are relieved when they pass. But often, out of the terrible times, we gain new strength and learning.
I pray that you can appreciate and accept all of life's changes and can find hope, joy, and gratitude in every season.
