Gail in Texas Message from Gail Sharp, TallGrass owner

As I've aged, my love of nature, animals, wide open spaces, rural life, and peace and quiet has grown. The bustling city life that I enjoyed for many years while living in downtown Chicago is no longer appealing to me. That's why on a recent trip to Texas for a family visit, I was less enamored with Dallas, Austin, and San Antonio than with the Texas Hill Country and its small towns like Fredericksburg and the surrounding countryside. I loved seeing the stately old ranches, longhorn cattle, giant oaks and maples, fields of bluebonnets and Indian paintbrush, meandering streams, and small family wineries. Just gorgeous!

For me, a walk outside, a drive down a country lane, sitting in a field of grass and wildflowers by the side of a stream is the height of happiness - especially if I'm surrounded by animals. Peace and quiet fills my gas tank of serenity. I'll bet that in the midst of your busy, noisy life, quiet is a value that you've come to cherish, too.

At TallGrass, we value peace and serenity so much that we're adding a new space just for that purpose. Stay tuned for more details and plan to come share the pleasure of quiet time with us in our beautiful mountain valley.

New Services, New Seasonal Specialties

Seasons change and we go with the flow by introducing new treatments to our services menu and adding a few limited-edition seasonal specialties, too.

  • In the Body Treatments category, check out our Beautifying Radiance Polish, our Sugar Scrub, and our High Altitude Hydrating Wrap, all designed to remind you that a change of seasons is a good time to exfoliate and detoxify.

  • We've added a new Elemental Nature Massage to highlight Aveda’s new Tulasara apothecary aromas and help you find your own elemental nature.

  • In the nail room, we're introducing an Organic Manicure/Pedicure that incorporates pure organic fruits, veggies, and herbs and also a Tropical Bliss Pedicure guaranteed to transport you to the islands with coconut flair.

Our seasonal specialties, available from mid-April through June, tempt you with plenty of time to try a Shea Butter and Mint Manicure (mmmmmm), a Spring Detox Facial (renew radiance), and a Blueberry Antioxidant Scrub (smooth skin from shoulders to toes). Recover from a dry Colorado winter and try all three! Details are here.
