Soldier Boxes. This is your last call to contribute to the Mother’s Day/Father’s Day Soldier Box shipment which will be on the way to troops in Afghanistan in the coming month. We’re filling the care packages with the items such as full and travel-sized toiletries, paperback books, sunscreen, cooling neck wraps and – most importantly – hand-written greetings. Your contributions of personal care items and cards or donations to cover postage costs are welcome.

Earth Month Report. We are proud to announce that our Earth Month fundraising activities in behalf of Western Resources Advocates and Aveda’s Global Greengrants program raised $2,400. Through the grassroots activities that we coordinated, like bake sales, a walk-a-thon, donations for the privilege of wearing jeans to work, sales of gently used TallGrass robes, a prize drawing, a tea party and sales of Aveda’s Light the Way Candles, we generated support for the campaign to protect water here in the American west and provide access to clean water in developing nations around the world. Thanks to all the TallGrass guests who supported our efforts.
