If you don't count Valentine's Day, February is a month without much going for it, which is why TallGrass Aveda Spa and Salon in Evergreen, Colorado, chose this winter weary time to unveil its Lower Level remodel.

Always aiming to improve the customer experience and maintain a comfortable workplace for staff, TallGrass transformed its Lower Level relaxation area and treatment rooms into an elegant environment that's ultra quiet and soothing. The updated spaces, with calming colors, classic styles and bold design elements offer a place of solitude for meditation, reading or just sitting quietly and relaxing. Spa services delivered in treatment rooms with the latest soundproofing technology, custom cabinetry and comfortable, easily adjustable treatment tables let guests drift away into relaxation.

Interior decorator Renee Augustine of Studio R Design in Denver worked with Ridings to create what Augustine describes as "a contemporary meets Evergreen aesthetic." Leathered granite countertops, a wall of glass tiles and boldly patterned carpet blend a modern look with traditional styles of furniture, light fixtures and accessories. The soothing color scheme of taupe, grey, blue and yellow adds a calming feeling.

The contemporary, upscale Lower Level at TallGrass blends smoothly with other areas of the spa, transitioning from the elegant hair salon to the cozy nail room, mountain chic great room and stylish retail area. The unique flavor of each space flows into the others for a fashionably comfortable guest experience.
