With Aveda's new Smooth Infusion Glossing Straightener, even the most intense waves and curls transform into straight, shiny hair. Here's how: an Aveda exclusive plant blend - guar bean, maize and organic aloe - forms a protective barrier around hair to straighten and smooth the cuticle, fighting frizz and flyaways.
To help you create the smoothest, straightest result, Antoinette Beenders, Aveda's Global Creative Director and British Hairdresser of the Year, offers these tips.
- Liquefy a small amount of Smooth Infusion Glossing Straightener in hands, then apply to damp hair from roots to ends for coarse, curly hair, and from mid-lengths to ends for straight to wavy hair. Comb through to distribute evenly
- Pre-dry hair with dryer nozzle facing downward until about 60% dry
- If using a blow dryer, dry hair from mid-lengths to ends by placing the brush underneath the hair to hold it taut while blow-drying from above. Move slowly from mid-length to ends with the brush and dryer
- If you want to use a flat iron, choose ceramic because it heats faster. When sectioning the hair, the smaller the sections, the straighter the end-result
