Yippee!!! The snow has melted. We have electricity and phones (after the recent snowstorm knocked out everything). The TallGrass horses, Jet and Duke, are back. Our waterfall is flowing. The flowers are peeking up. Spring has sprung. And life is good!

What a perfect season to celebrate and who better to honor than our mothers who gave us the opportunity to experience everything that our world has to offer. Happy Mother's Day to all our mothers!

There are numerous ways to celebrate at TallGrass this month (see below for details) including a fun Golf and Spa day on May 21st. I'm taking off my cowboy boots and putting on my golf shoes to begin learning to play this great game. I'm incredibly unskilled but, so far, it's been a blast to smack away at that little ball on the driving range. Please join Susie Siebert, our Spa Director, and me for a golf clinic, lunch and a spa service. We think it's a perfect way to enjoy spring!

We always have something special to offer our Moms in May. This year, we have triple treats.

Cool as a Cucumber. Mothers and daughters who visit the spa on Mondays through Fridays in May, and purchase a minimum of $150 in services each on that day, receive a photo of themselves relaxing in their spa robes - with or without cucumbers on their eyes. And, that's not all. They also enjoy a complimentary lunch and Mom takes home a picture frame with a Happy Mother's Day message to safe keep her cucumber photo.

Pretty Clay Pots. On Mother's Day weekend, Saturday and Sunday, May 9 and 10, hand painted, brightly colored clay pots stuffed with seed packets are gifts created by our staff for all mothers who visit TallGrass and receive spa services valued at $100 or more.

If you've been visiting TallGrass for any length of time, you know Linda Baiada. And, if you're new to TallGrass, it won't belong before you have the pleasure of meeting her. Linda is one of the most upbeat, friendly, positive people you'll ever know. She has been providing impeccable service to TallGrass guests for more than six years and that's why she was named Spa Babe.

Being goal oriented, customer service friendly and a people person comes easily to Linda who was a fulltime volunteer before accepting a position at TallGrass. "I was the supreme volunteer," says Linda. "PTA president, Pom Mom, Booster Club president, you name it and I was involved in every activity while my girls were in school." When her daughters went away to college, Linda looked around for something to do. She had been a TallGrass guest, loved the spa, wanted to work in Evergreen, and so it was a natural that she should become a welcome and treasured member of our staff.
